BAKTRIA, Greco-Baktrian Kingdom. Eukratides I Megas. Circa 170-145 BC. Æ Quadruple (28mm, 11.95 g, 12h). Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right, wearing crested helmet adorned with bull's horn and ear / The Dioskouroi, holding palm fronds and spears, on horses rearing right; monogram to inner left. Cf. Bopearachchi Série 11 (monogram unlisted); cf. Bopearachchi & Rahman 262 (listed as posthumous issue); SNG ANS –; cf. HGC 12, 143. Red-brown surfaces, deposits, porosity, cleaning marks, minor smoothing. VF. Very rare.
