Obv: AVT K M AV CEOVHPOC ANTWNEINOC CEB Bust laureate, draped, cuirassed r; Nike countermark in r. field. Rx: [CEVHPIANΩN AIΓAIΩN ANTΩΝΕΙΝΟVΠΟΛΕΙ] on l. and r., only a few letters legible; Galley r. with large square sail, slanted small sail at bow, oars and oarsmen below, and standards at stern. From the same obverse die as Levante 1742-3, both of which show Asclepius and Hygieia on their reverses. Our coin differs from the two comparable Levante specimens of the Galley type firstly in the bust type on the obverse, draped and cuirassed rather than head laureate, and secondly in the addition of a large sail above the galley on the reverse..
