| Lot description: BAKTRIA. Kingdom of Baktria. Heliokles I, ca. 145-130 B.C. AR Tetradrachm. NGC Ch VF. Light Scratches. HGC-12, 169. Obverse: Diademed and draped bust right; all within bead-and-reel border; Reverse: Zeus standing facing, holding thunderbolt and scepter; monogram to inner left. Emanating from a fairly SCARCE issue, this example does exhibit some minor scratches as well as a dark spot in the reverse field, but still offers a powerful portrait of the king.
