SASANIAN KINGS. Jamasp, 497-499. Drachm (Silver, 28 mm, 3.92 g, 3 h), GD (Gay). Draped bust of Jamasp to right, wearing mural crown with inner crescent and korymbos set on crescent; to right, small bust of Ahura Mazda. Rev. Fire altar flanked by two stylized attendants; in upper field to left, five-pointed star; in upper field to right, crescent; in field to right, GD (name of the mint in Pahlawi); in field to left, date in Pahlawi. SNS III, pl. 111, A9. Beautifully toned. Struck from slightly worn dies, otherwise, good very fine.
