Mint I ("Ctesiphon"), phase 1b, ca. AD 244-252/3. Bust of Shapur I right, wearing diadem and mural crown with korymbos. Reverse: Fire altar; flanked by two attendants wearing mural crowns and one with, and the other without, diadems; symbol on altar shaft, letter above left attendant. SNS type IIc/1a; Göbl type I/1. Extremely Rare. Toned, and of lovely style. Superb Extremely Fine.
