Puteal Scribonianum decorated with garland and two lyres; at base, hammer; above, PVTEAL; below, [SC]RIBON. Crawford 416/1a. Sydenham 928. Babelon (Scribonia), 427, 8. BMCRR I, 419, 3377. RBW 1500. Some scratches with deposits, otherwise, Very Fine. The Puteal Scribonianum was located in the Forum Romanum in Ancient Rome. Puteals were round or square well-heads covering the opening of a well.
