SELEUCIS and PIERIA, Balanea (as Claudia-Leucas). Second half of 1st century AD. Æ (17mm, 4.15 g, 1h). TωN KAI KΛAYΔIAIωN, male god standing facing, wearing tiara and holding long scepter, foot on prow / ΛYKAΔIωN, forepart of river-god Chrysoroas swimming right. RPC I 4465A; de Saulcy 3. Brown patina, light roughness. VF. Extremely rare, only three known to RPC.

This coin has fully preserved legends, completing those recorded in RPC. This may be the finest known specimen and is certainly finer than those listed in RPC.
