His laureate head right; IMP CAE L SEP SEV PERT AVG COS II / Moneta standing facing, head left, holding scales and cornucopia; MONET AVG. RIC IV.1 411a. RSC 330. Near Extremely Fine; bright surfaces; a few light marks; well centered and struck. Attractive Eastern mint example with Oriental cast to style.

Emesa was a caravan town in northwestern Syria, the hometown of Julia Domna, Severus's wife and a princess of the priestly ruling caste of the city.
