Lot description: Theodore Comnenus-Ducas. As emperor of Thessalonica, 1225/7-1230. AR Trachy (29.5mm, 4.10 g, 6h). Thessalonica mint. Struck 1225/6(?). The Theotokos enthroned facing, holding head of the Holy Infant on lap; MP ΘV, each with macron above, flanking head; sigla: Γ | Γ(?) / ΘЄOΔωPOC [Δ](OV)KA[C], facing figure of Theodore, wearing crown and loros, holding sword set on ground to left in right hand and akakia in left, being crowned by Christ, standing to right, holding Gospels in left hand.
