Galerius. As Caesar, AD 293-305. AR Argenteus (18mm, 3.03 g, 6h). Rome mint. 1st emisison, late AD 294-early 295. MAXIMIA NVS CAES, laureate head right / VIRTVS MILITVM, the tetrarchs sacrificing over tripod before city gate with six turrets. RIC VI 29b; Gautier, Argent 58cp (this coin); RSC 219a. Exceptionally vibrant rainbow iridescent toning, a few light scratches under tone. EF. A lovely coin in hand.
