Lot description: ATTICA, Athens. Circa 500/490-485/0 BC. AR Tetradrachm (21mm, 17.10 g, 11h). Head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with small spiral on the bowl, and round earring / Owl standing right, head facing; olive sprig to left, AΘE to right; all within incuse square. Seltman Group Gi (unlisted dies); Svoronos, Monnaies, pl. 4, 26 = BMC 4 = GPCG pl. 4, 31; Asyut Group IVa; HGC 4, 1590. Toned, a few tiny flan flaws. Good VF.
