SICILY, Syracuse. Pyrrhos. 278-276 BC. AR Oktobol (20mm, 5.33 g, 1h). Head of Persephone left, wearing grain ear wreath; poppy to right / BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΠYPPOY, Athena Promachos advancing left, shield decorated with aegis on left arm, preparing to cast thunderbolt held aloft in right hand; no control marks. B&S Type 6; BAR Issue 46; HGC 3, 264; SNG Lewis 604–5. Light iridescent tone, a little die wear, a few hairlines on reverse. Good VF. Well centered.
