SICILY, Katane. Circa 435-412 BC. AR Tetradrachm (25mm, 17.28 g, 8h). Charioteer, wearing long chiton, holding kentron in left hand and reins in both, driving slow quadriga of horses right / Head of Apollo right, wearing laurel wreath; KA[TANAI]-ON to right. Mirone 32; HGC 2, 568; SNG ANS 1245–6; Jameson 539 (same dies); Rizzo pl. X, 5 (same obv. die). Toned, a few scratches and flan flaws. VF.
