Lot description: BRUTTIUM, Kroton. Circa 530-500 BC. AR Nomos (26mm, 8.14 g, 12h). Spread incuse type. Tripod, legs surmounted by wreaths and terminating in lion's feet, set on basis of three lines, the center dotted; (koppa)PO to left; to right, heron standing left / Incuse tripod as obverse, but wreaths in relief; to left, heron standing right; (koppa)PO to right. Attianese –; Gorini –; HN Italy 2081; SNG ANS 250. Iridescent tone, minor double strike on reverse. Near EF.
