Attica, Athens, (c.86-71 B.C.), AE, 14mm, (3.51 g), obv. laureate head of Apollo right within dotted border, rev. cicada, A to left, QE to right, (S.-; Kroll 131; Sv.107,32; SNG Cop.446; HGC 4, 1721). Nearly very fine, off centred obverse, minor roughness, rare.

Ex Wayne Woolmer Collection February 21, 2004, includes old collector's envelope with description. Issue by the Athenian Cleruchs, for circulation in Delos.
