| Lot description: BOEOTIA. Thebes. Circa 480-460 BC. Drachm (Silver, 13.5 mm, 6.01 g). Boeotian shield. Rev. Incuse square with mill-sail pattern and archaic Θ at centre. BCD Boiotia 345. SNG Copenhagen 250. Rare and with a BCD pedigree. Struck from a worn obverse die, otherwise, nearly very fine. From the Dr. Paul Peter Urone Collection and from the BCD Collection, Classical Numismatic Group e148, 20 September 2006, 51, obtained by BCD from Bob Myers, on December 1974.
