| Lot description: ISLAMIC, 'Abbasid Caliphate. temp. Al-Rashid, AH 170-193 / AD 786-809. Seal (Lead, 18 mm, 4.10 g, 7 h). In the field, 'ithnā / ʿashar' ('twelve' in Arabic); date around, probably AH 170 = 786/7. Rev. 'Aḥmad ibn / Ḥamad' ('Ahmad, son of Hamad' in Arabic); illegible inscription around. A very interesting piece. Very fine. From the collection of Dr. D. Löer, Leu Web Auction 26, 8-13 July 2023, 5949, ex NBJ E-Auction 3, 21 October 2021, 365.
