| Lot description: Crispus, Caesar, 316-326. Follis (Bronze, 20 mm, 2.82 g, 12 h), Siscia, 319. IVL CRISPVS NOB CAESAR Laureate and cuirassed bust of Crispus to left, holding spear over his right shoulder and decorated shield on his left. Rev. VICTORIAE LAETAE PRINC PERP / BSIS• Two victories standing facing and holding shield inscribed VOT / PR over altar inscribed I. RIC 64 var. Extremely rare, just a single example recorded by RIC, and apparently unique with this shield decoration. Repatinated and somewhat smoothed, otherwise, good very fine. From the collection of Dr. L.
