Tetricus I, Romano-Gallic Emperor, 271-274. Antoninianus (Silvered bronze, 20 mm, 2.12 g, 11 h), Treveri, spring 271. IMP C G P ESVVIVS TETRICVS AVG Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Tetricus I to right. Rev. SPES PVBLICA Spes advancing left, holding flower in her right hand and raising skirt with her left. AGK (corr.) 12a. Cohen 171. Cunetio -. Elmer 746 ('Cologne'). Very rare. An attractive and unusually complete example of this earliest issue with the emperor's full name. Some traces of corrosion, otherwise, good very fine.
