Hadrian, 117-138. Cistophorus (Silver, 28 mm, 10.99 g, 6 h), Ephesus. [HADRIANVS] AVGVSTVS [P P] Bare head of Hadrian to right. Rev. [D]IA-NA / EPHESIA Tetrastyle temple on podium of three steps; within, facing cult statue of Artemis Ephesia with supports. Metcalf -. RPC III online 1335A.1 (this coin). Extremely rare. Minor spots of horn silver and with traces of overstriking, otherwise, about very fine.
