SE[X•POM•]FOSTLVS / ROMA She-wolf standing right, head to left, suckling the twins Romulus and Remus; to left, the shepherd Faustulus standing right; in background, birds on fig tree. Babelon (Pompeia) 1a. Crawford 235/1c. RBW 972. Sydenham 461a. Lightly toned and with a sharp and attractive reverse. Struck from a slightly worn obverse die, otherwise, about extremely fine.
