ΑΥΡΗΛΙOС KAICAP Bare-headed and draped bust of Marcus Aurelius to right, seen from behind. Rev. ΓΑΛ ΤΟΛΙС ΠЄССΙΝOΥNTIⲰN Nude Hermes standing facing, head to left, holding purse in his right hand and caduceus in his left. BMC 10. RPC IV.3 online 5696. Very rare. A wonderful piece with a splendid and sensitive portrait. Slightly rough and with very minor weakness on the reverse, otherwise, nearly extremely fine. From a European collection, formed before 2005.
