INDIA, Kushan Empire. Kanishka I, circa 127/8-152. 1/4 Dinar (Gold, 13 mm, 2.00 g, 12 h), main mint in Baktria, probably in Balkh. Draped bust of Kanishka I emerging from clouds or a mountain top to left with flames on his right shoulder, wearing peaked triangular cap with circle side motif, placing his right hand in front of his chest and holding spear in his left. Rev. AΘÞO Athsho standing facing, head to left, bearded, flames emenating from his shoulders, wearing diadem and cloak around his shoulders, holding diadem wreath in his right hand and fire tongs in his left. ANS Kushan 374. Zeno 197596 (this coin). Rare. Struck from a worn obverse die and wth a minor bump on the edge, otherwise, good very fine.
