| Lot description: INDO-SKYTHIANS. Vonones, circa 85-65 BC. AE (Bronze, 21 mm, 8.08 g, 12 h), with Spalahores. 'Maharahabhrata dhramikasa Spalahorasa' ('of the Great King's Brother, Spalahores the Just' in Kharoshthi) Athena standing front, head to left, raising her right hand and holding shield in her left with spear behind. Rev. BAΣIΛЄΩΣ BAΣIΛЄΩΝ M[EΓΑΛΟΥ ONΩNOY] Herakles standing facing, placing his right hand on his head and holding club and lion skin in his left. HGC 12, 614. Senior 66.2. A very attractive example.
