BAKTRIA, Greco-Baktrian Kingdom. Apollodotos I, circa 174-165 BC. AE (Bronze, 24x24 mm, 9.70 g, 6 h), Indian standard, uncertain mint in Paropamisadai or Gandhara. [B]AΣIΛEΩΣ AΠOΛΛOΔOTOY ΣΩTHPOΣ Apollo standing facing, holding arrow in his right hand and bow in his left. Rev. 'Maharajasa Apaladatasa tradarasa' (' of the Great King Apollodotos the Savior' in Karoshti) Tripod within beaded rectangular border; to right, monogram. Bopearachchi 6G. HGC 12, 120. Minor cleaning scratches on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
