| Lot description: PTOLEMAIC KINGS OF EGYPT. Ptolemy VIII Euergetes II (Physcon), as King in Kyrene, 163-145 BC. Hemiobol (?) (Bronze, 20 mm, 3.87 g, 12 h), Kyrene. Bust of Ptolemy I to right, wearing diadem and aegis around his neck. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΠTΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ Diademed and draped bust of Libya to right; to lower right, cornucopiae; below bust, monogram. Noeske 259-60. SNG Copenhagen 451. Svoronos 1658. Weiser 168. Rare. Somewhat rough and the obverse struck off center, otherwise, very fine.
