PHOENICIA. Byblos. Uzzibaal, circa 400-365 BC. Shekel (Silver, 24 mm, 13.32 g, 12 h). Three hoplites, holding shields, on galley left above waves, prow ending in lion's head; below, hippocamp left above murex shell, 'Z (in Phoenician) above dorsal fin. Rev. 'ZB'L MLK GBL ('Uzzibaal, king of Gebal' in Phoenician) Lion attacking bull to left. Betlyon 14 var. (letters on obverse). E&E-B Group IV.2.1.c. HGC 10, 133. Lightly toned and very well centered. Struck from a slightly worn obverse die and with minor marks, otherwise, good very fine.
