THESSALY. Larissa. Circa 440-400 BC. Drachm (Silver, 19 mm, 6.07 g, 12 h). Thessalos, with petasos and cloak over his shoulders, striding left, holding a band around the head of a rushing bull. Rev. [Λ]AP-I-ΣAI Bridled horse galloping to right; all within incuse square. BCD Thessaly I 1128. BCD Thessaly II 173. HGC 4, 420. Lorber, Thessalian 548 (same dies). Struck from a worn obverse die, otherwise, very fine.
