CALABRIA. Tarentum. Circa 302-280 BC. Diobol (Silver, 12 mm, 1.20 g, 6 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet adorned with Skylla hurling a stone. Rev. Herakles kneeling right, wrestling the Nemean lion; above, Α; to left, herm. A. D'Andrea, M. Miglioli, G. Tafuri and E. Vonghia: The Diobols of Tarentum. Roseto 2022, 128. HN Italy 976. Vlasto 1315. Darkly toned and with a beautiful obverse. The reverse double struck, otherwise, about extremely fine.
