PHOENICIA. Tyre. 126/5 BC-AD 65/6. Shekel (Silver, 24 mm, 14.28 g, 12 h), CY 135 = AD 9/10. Laureate head of Melkart to right, lion skin tied around neck. Rev. TY[POY IEPAΣ KA]I AΣYΛOY Eagle standing left on prow, wings closed and with palm frond behind; to left, ΡΛE above club; to right, KP above monogram; between eagle's legs, 𐤁 (B in Punic). DCA Tyre 482. HGC 10, 357. RPC I 4654. Darkly toned. Some scratches and minor deposits, otherwise, very fine.
