| Lot description: Ancients THRACIAN KINGDOM. Lysimachus (305-281 BC). AR tetradrachm (33mm, 16.92 gm, 12h). NGC Choice AU★ 4/5 - 4/5, Fine Style, die shift. Uncertain (Bithynian?) mint, ca. 260-250 BC. Diademed head of deified Alexander III right, with horn of Ammon; H (engraver's signature) below, dotted border / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ / ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ, Athena seated left, Nike standing left in outstretched right hand, left arm resting on grounded shield with lion head boss, transverse spear beyond; ME monogram in outer left field, ΠA monogram in exergue. Thompson -. Müller -. Breathtaking portrait in high relief, further accentuated with areas of golden toning. Ex Heritage Auctions, Auction 3100 (8 July 2022), lot 35007; Heritage Auctions, Auction 3089 NYINC (22 January 2021), lot 32046. Same obverse as Marinescu, Cius, Issues V and VI, obverse B, pp. 213-214, but here coupled with a different control monogram combination which is possibly unpublished. Marinescu ("The Lysimachi Coinage of Cius, Bithynia" in D.
