Lifetime issue of Magnesia ad Maeandrum, ca. 325-323 BC. Head of Athena right, hair in three tight corkscrew curls, two more curls over left shoulder, and upswept at temple, wearing triple-crested Corinthian helmet pushed back on head, short divergent crest ends, the bowl adorned with coiled serpent right/ AΛEΞANΔPOY, Nike standing facing, head left, wreath in outstretched right hand, stylis cradled in left arm; head of ram right in left field. Price 1917. Stunning Fine Style example with gleaming surfaces and a bold centered strike.
