Maximian BI Mule Nummus. With a reverse of Diocletian. Carthage, AD 303. IMP MAXIMIANVS P F AVG, laureate head to right / SALVIS AVGG ET CAESS FEL KART, Carthage standing facing, head to left, holding fruits in both hands; I in left field, A in exergue. RIC VI -, cf. 33a & 33b. 8.94g, 29mm, 6h.

Good Very Fine. Very Rare.

An interesting muled coin with a reverse from officina A meant for Diocletian, which is determined by the I (for Jovian) in the reverse left field. The correct reverse for Maximian, from officina B, has an H (for Herculean) in place of the I.
