Thessaly, Larissa AR Drachm. Circa 460-420 BC. The hero Thessalos, with petasos and chlamys hanging around neck, restraining bull to right by band held around its head / Bridled horse rearing to right within incuse square; ΛΑPIΣΑΙΑ above and below. Cf. Lorber, Thessalian, pl. 43, 47 (same obv. die) and 53 for a similar rev.; BCD Thessaly II 171 var. (ΛAPIΣAI); HGC 4, 418. 5.83g, 19mm, 10h.
